If we play like we did against Dundee, we will win, if we play like we played against St Mirren, we'll lose.

Oliver Bozanic was the least Hearts player to score a winner v Rangers. 5 years ago

Think we will be beaten comfortably.
We need to win our other games, Celtic excluded, and we will be third imo.

I tell you what, what a job Critch has done making sure we didn’t have a morale sapping European defeat last night to halt our momentum

Telling ye now, Europe is fucking wank and a death sentence to our priorities.

Wee Thursday night trip to tynie under the lights to play the likes of fiorentina you’ve got to enjoy the games. Fair enough some teams are shite standard but there is a wee bit of magic about these ties for me.

It doesn't do much or anything for me tbh, I'm more bothered about finishing as high up the table as we can, beating Hibs and having a good punt at the domestic cups. I think Europe gets in the way of that.

Europe is a distraction from what really matters: finishing third so we can qualify for Europe.

I think Europe gets in the way of that. The league’s important but there doesn’t feel much accomplishment in finishing third, it’s expected and if you get it it’s just a bit of a nothing moment. If we were competing to split the OF or making a challenge for the league I’d probably think a bit different. But aye pumping hibs and having a good crack at the Scottish is up there for me as well but I love tournament fitba and I enjoy the addition of random teams from all about the place. I’ve only been on that one trip to Bruges but I’d love to go again it was fucking brilliant The more opportunities for trips like that the better.
Europe is good but we need to actually assemble a good squad so it doesn't tank our league form for about 4 months of the season.
Don't even mind when you end up playing good teams. Seeing a boy playing at Tynecastle that's played in the World Cup final when we played that Istanbul mob was quite cool. Boy in front of me turned to me at the full time whistle of that game and went, 'I think they were there for the taking the night.'

I think Naismith made a mess of it and thought if he just had a huge squad we’d be fine but it lacked the quality both to compete in Europe and at home

I was at the Petrocub game. Didn't feel like europe, tbh. Felt more like the pre-season friendly I attended against Leyton Orient.

The inter toto does kill a bit of the excitement of Europe tbh, you are playing really shite teams most of the time. But once we have a team that can be competitive and look to progress, it will be really good being in Europe.
Our attitude at the moment is right lets get the cash from the groups and that'll do us. It's like when Norwich are something are promoted to the EPL with the intention of going right back down. Need to be in a position where we are competitive. There's a real chance we'd be out the cup and season over right now if we had that extra tie.

Wouldn't mind no europe next season and have a clear run at taking down zombie Rangers for 2nd and CL qualifiers

I'd half accept if you're doing well in Europe and your domestic form suffers a bit as a consequence but what happens is you get your arse felt on a Thursday then you get beat by Ross County on the Sunday and before you know it it's Thursday again and you're getting another tannin eh a lifetime. It's just relentless misery
![]() Hoping to sneak in to the next round where you play an even better team who give you even more of a doing. The cons outweigh the pros for me.
