What a fantastic achievement by everyone connected the club. I really didn’t think it would be possible again.

I thought Uncle Tony was getting a bit carried away when he said we’d be first or second at the start of the season, but that is now confirmed.

Also opens the door to different profiles of players being able to offer that chance.

I am actually seeing your point more now about being excited about the upcoming week AP, probs just a knee jerk reaction to being fucking CHEATIT.

Minimum second is an outrageous achievement considering where the club was last season, largely achieved with the same crop of players as well plus the JTA magic. Just feel it will be largely overshadowed if we don’t get the title over the line. It’s something I’ve wondered all season, how will the fan base react if we go all the way but lose out at the end although admittedly was thinking more about if we finished 3rd.

TBC: Jagellonia Bialystok, PAOK, Fenerbache, Sturm Graz, Scottish Runners-up

Play-off seedings all TBC:

Viking, AEK, LASK Linz, Jock league winners and six winners from QR3

This was unthinkable at the start of the season.

We would all have taken a comfortable third place finish and gone from there.

Now we go into the final 2 games, and the last week of the season in top spot with the title still in our hands. Not too bad that.

Do we get into the Europa League league (league) when we get pumped out of the CL qualifiers?

I believe if we win the league it’s one set of qualifiers and if we get beat it’s directly into Europa League group phase. 

If we come second it’s 2 rounds of CL qualifiers and if we lose it’s a drop down to UEL play off round to get into group phase. 

If we lose the UEL play off we drop further down to conference league qualifier.

Not any more. It’s UEL 3rd round this year which we’d drop into if we finished second then lost in UCL round 2. No guaranteed group stage for anyone bar the league winners.

Aye the only position that guarantees group stage football is winning the league. Otherwise we could all end up papped out the qualifiers

TBH I wouldn't be too fussed if we don't make the Europa or Conference groups. It's crucial that we follow up this season with another title challenge and playing diddy sides in Europe every other week makes that very tough. Champs League obviously a different prospect altogether.

Can you see us challenging for the title next season?

I think we could make a good crack at the conference if we had a team that’s a similar level to this season. Not that we’d win it but we could go a fair bit deeper into it imo.
