Other clubs spent far, far more than he did any which way you look at it, yet he was finishing ahead of most of them in the league each year.
It still doesn't change the fact he's not won anything as a manager. In the same time frame, Arsenal and Manchester United have both won three trophies apiece, despite being widely regarded as two clubs struggling to recapture anything close to former pomp.
