The bit in the last episode with Malik and his dad was quite eye opening. He took a lot of shit off his coaches for attitude but you can see why he is the way he is. Dads a fucking weapon.

Watching the staircase. At episode 5. The American judicial system is bare jokes.

Same way when I saw the bit about Isaiah from EMCC, some of these guys need to stay away from home when not in college if they're gonna make it Yeah agree with Malik it's obvious the poor bastard doesn't want to play football

Such a damaged young man who I genuinely thought would come good. Totally agree re Malik. Didn't really like him at all but that scene in the restaurant with his dad (who conveniently came back into his life when it was clear the guy might go pro with sport) was eye opening. His dad just talking to that PT guy about him like he wasn't there. Did you watch the catch up from EMC with the whole section on Isaiah? but that chap that got back into Texas Tech

Saw that although they're unsure if he'll actually be allowed to play as the school has quite strict rules on conduct.

Saw a trailer in the cinema for the new Jack Ryan series on Amazon. Looks brilliant and John Krasinski is top class.

I should maybe have been a bit more specific; the entire series has had me pulling a clanger/mccringe/crowe/montybut at the way they do things; not least the trial by media, with uninformed ratings-chasing anchors spouting nonsense and theories on prime time TV. Then you think about the americans who piled onto twitter en masse ranting about 'free speech' when tommy robinson was (properly) convicted. It has been procedurally astonishing stuff all the way, so far.

Yeah, the way they do it is absolutely mental. Pundits openly and ignorantly speculating about all manner of shit.

Rinsed season 2 of Goliath it reminded me a lot of True Detective the way it plays out

Nailed It on Netflix is a great mixture of baking and schadenfreude. Good telly to fall asleep to.

Just finished season 2 of Sneaky Pete, worth a watch if you enjoyed the first run but it just kept twisting and twisting the plot and by the end it was too much
