Blatant red. If the argument is that he was putting his foot/leg in to protect the ball then utter BS, you move your leg horizontally not up an dthen down. It's a stamp and should result in a red. The rules and interpretations of them are so fucked-up it's unreal. VAR boy needs sacked, and from the other night too.
Yep, the way the boy on BT was talking about it was because there was a chance he might have been trying to play the ball (he wasn't) then they couldn't overturn the decision. Laughable.
The PL officials are the ones ruining VAR with pish rules like that.

Was at the CL game on Wednesday, felt totally at home watching a team with such an inept midfield Over the course of the game they had Winks, Lo Celso, Gedson and Ndombele all playing the classic role of nice touches and wee passes on the halfway line but achieving absolutely fuck all.
Eric Lamela is the closest thing they have to a midfielder with a bit of drive
It's not VAR, it's the people running it. The PL from the start have been trying to be pioneers with it and using it differently and all they've done is make a prize cunt of it.

Would love to know what Winks is supposed to actually do Such a nothing player but he's the first name on the team sheet for some reason. Stats will be amazing though as he just plays 5 yard sideways passes and nothing else. Just looked him up on the PL site and it says he's played nearly 90 premier league games - 2 goals and 2 assists

Aye obviously I don't think people are slating the quality of the cameras when they're having a go though
The application of it is horrendous at times. The ones that always do my head in is the inconsistency of calling fouls in build up. Seems like they will only be called if they're near the opponents box, but if someone fouls away deep in their own half and launches the ball forward it will be waved on. I don't think you can go back to not having it now though even if the majority of people wanted it scrapped.
Would be interesting to see what players and managers thought about it versus what fans think about it.
Have football people employed, ex pros and mangers or whatever in the VAR centre not some nonce in a suit. They have no clue or feel for the game. It's become a total farce.

Said this before on this very thread. He's a water carrier without a pale. Absolute shite.
