Seen a few pundits saying Thiago has negatively impacted the dynamic of the team. Might be something in that but he's an unbelievable player so they'll have to change things around him.

Haven't seen enough of him (for Liverpool) but as I said earlier in the season I genuinely don't think he's an upgrade over Wijnaldum, in this Liverpool system anyway. Don't think it was just a 'wanted a change' or money, that he left Munich, think it was because Kimmich was always going to be the main man. At the time I thought it was a grave mistale by Barca to let him go (as he really was just starting to establish himself, and they didn't exactly have a plethora of options in the middle at that time either, imo) but there was certainly an element of something 'missing' in his game, although it was never easy to put a finger on it. Anyway, wouldn't imagine he would be any worse than Curtis Jones or James Milner.

I think he's a considerably better player than Wijnaldum like but as you say maybe not for this particular team. Early days though. I really enjoy watching him.

Mind when they sold Coutinho and they got better by replacing him with James Milner.

They'll end up selling Thiago and replacing him with Eric Dier. That's the kind of system it is. Purely there to cover full backs or shell it over the defence for the sprinters to get on it (or simple roll pass into Firminho).

I can see them revamping the team a fair bit shortly. They've still got more than enough to win the league it's a side that has barely been changed over the past 3/4 years and it's rare that a team can keep the levels for that long.
