Filth was quality btw - the very antithesis of 'twee' Warnock

Boy looks awfully like someone I see to know. He most definitely didn't gambol with lambs. If you got a kick-in up town in the late80s/early 90s he most likely did it, even if you were a pre-pubescent at the time.

Ahh. Not an old mate of mine then.

Okay then. Filth had a few decent scenes but otherwise was still Scottish cliche-ridden pish. It wasn't even clever, nor particularly shocking. Bit meh really. 2/10

What was that wall-flower film Walter loves again?

Perks of a wallflower is the second of 2 films.

You should watch the first, 'A Serbian Film' before watching wallflower imo

Child 44 - 5/10.

Really heartwarming, family stuff. Bit of a caper film, tbh.

Should in the very unlikely event that my wee princess does bring him home, the wee endearing cunt is getting booted in the baws, chloroformed, and then brutally tortured.

Duly noted, I hope. Fist

Child 44

Really enjoyed it but it didn't need the daft Russian accents. It really dumbed down hardys character big time. It was like the stereotypical broken English accent and at the end hardy says something like "no I'm happy stand"

The ending is a bit weird too it all seemed to just come to an abrupt end. It's quite a long film which was progressing well and its like they just rushed it all in a panic.

One of the main characters doesn't have any back story at all and you're just expected to get what he's all about.

I did enjoy it but I'd give it a 6/10 at best.

X Men: Days of Future Past - 7 - Really good. I do like an X Men film, in fairness, but this one had some cracking Terminator-style time travel plot holes, Fassbender and McAvoy bouncing each other and Peter Dinklage playing a right bastard. Great stuff Laugh

finally watched guardians of the galaxy - 7/10 great fun, you've all seen it though

el topo - honestly. fuck knows. It's like watching a bergman film - there are points where you understand whats going on and it's awesome and you're entertained and challenged, and then there are points where you're watching a bad spaghetti western but with the gun slinger having become a prophet to midgets and he's performing pratfalls for yokels to earn money to buy dynamite.

it's either a 1/10 or a 10/10

dr no - 6/10 - had never seen it before. Preferred the book, but a very decent effort at setting out what the series would become on a small budget

Do you not think that Gary Oldman's character looked like Stalin? Warnock

Also, no fucking chance would the kids at the end make that choice. Wiggo

It was just fucked towards the end. Suddenly his wife who's resented him all those years fancies him and he gets his job back after very obviously murdering and smashing various members of the MGB.

The serial killer had no back story at all. In the book it explains he's a product of his upbringing in the orphanage (I thought he'd maybe turn out to be the kid getting smashed at the start). It could've been an amazing film but it just fell short since it pied the main story for various pointless sub plots. The whole gay angle added absolutely nothing to the story apart from stating the obvious that it wasn't okay to be gay in at that time.

When the serial killer got murdered abruptly I thought it was going to unravel some massive twist with that shitey officer but no, they had a stupid mud fight and suddenly everything's back to normal. It was just frustrating to see it end up that way because there's a fantastic story in there.

Can't see them making the next 2 books into films

The Wanderers (1979).

Starring -  Ken Wahl & Karen Allen

[Image: MV5BMTg1ODU1ODYyN15BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwODc0...17_AL_.jpg]

Set against the urban jungle of 1963 New York's gangland subculture, this coming of age teenage movie is set around the Italian gang the Wanderers. Slight comedy, slight High School angst and every bit entertaining with its classic 1950's Rock n' Roll soundtrack such as "Walk Like a Man", "Big Girls Don't Cry" by The Four Seasons and "My Boyfriend's Back" by The Angels. Focusing around a football game where the different gangs play with and against each other, then at its grand finale, come together in a mass of union to defend their honour and their turf. Nostalgic stuff and above all a Rock n' Roll retrospective on a grand musical era.

Absolutely superb. Surprised how many folk havent seen it. Its also got that big bald guy from Stir Crazy in it (Grossberger) as leader of their rival gang The Baldies.
