Very good article. As the Batman vs Superman thread on here showed, though, there are enough people willing to see the same movie several times a year that the industry can keep on going through the motions and making billions from it.

Blackhat 5/10

hacker movie starring Chris Hemsworth aka Thor as a jailed computer hacker who is brought in to help the Chinese and American governments tackle another hacker who is wrecking havoc blowing up nuclear power stations and rigging the stock market.

deffo had the premise for a good movie but dull as a dishwasher imo

Avengers: Age of Ultron 7/10

Jarvis is clearly Artificial Intelligence, isn't he? I don't get it.

Finally got around to watching 12 Years a Slave

Think that was genuinely one of the saddest films I've ever seen. What a horrible period of man's existence.

Sad

It Follows - as mentioned before, what a weird but strangely good film.

Demonic - James Wan (Insidious) produced, semi decent, if not a little obvious...

kingsman - 6/10 spy kids meets james bond spoof. In its favour it's pretty unashamed, but it does have gigantic plot holes and is needlessly crass, but i enjoyed it overall

Project Almanac - time travelling caper that actually tries to handle the paradox situations.

You seen the Spanish movie Time Crimes? Very decent effort with paradoxes aplenty.

I love a time travel film, seen most of the main ones. Watching Project Almanac tonight.

Watched Blood Diamond last night. Seen it before, but not since it came out. Solid 8/10. Leo's acting/accent was superb.

The Voices: 6/10

Not funny enough to be a comedy, not scary enough to be a horror. Ryan Reynolds is very good though.

Project Almanac. Solid time-travel film, with the usual amount of paradox. Basically Chronicle with a time machine. 7/10

Ex-Machina - very very close to being a brilliant movie...with an ending you think you see coming, but won't
