Huge fan of Gervais and the Office but life on the road was awful. The cringe to laugh ratio was about 95:5

Went t to see 'it was 50 years ago today' at the cameo tonight, documentary celebrating 50 years since the release of Sgt Peppers, was pretty underwhelming and didn't feature any of the music from the album even though they were talking about it, highlight was Pete Best being interviewed, unless your a Beatles fanatic personally I'd avoid this

Get Out. Not what I was expecting, I didnt expect the Lovecraftian twist.

T2
They should've just called it Trainspotting 1.5, it was all so lazily written and Begbie was just a caricature of what he was in the original.

Two films I managed over the weekend:
Hacksaw Ridge - great film. A tough watch and pretty full on but still compelling viewing nonetheless. Horrific what all these guys went through. Batman vs. Superman - No, just no.

A 20 minute short by Neill Blomkamp. Director of District 9. Stars Sigourney Weaver.
Superb. Wish it was made into a feature film.

Alive in Joburg (2005) was the precursor to District 9 IIRC - so there's maybe hope...

Just watched pride of the yankees. Dugshite old picture for 80mins and then it's about the most effective weepy ever. Lou Gehrig was only a year dead when it was made, and half a dozen of his yankee teammates played themselves in the picture. Gerhig played 2,130 games on the trot for the yankees; he's like a shite Gary McKay if you need a point of reference. See when Babe Ruth steps aside from the mic to let him do his "today, i consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth" speech, wow, i wept like a bairn.
