Well yeah, I'm aware it's a very popular film and done very well, that's why i gave it a chance actually but it done nothing for me, David can Lean back and not give a fuck if i like the film, i won't take that away from him.

I love a good war movie - cant believe you don't like it.

It is a Sunday afternoon film though, IMO, you cant get steaming on a Monday night and hope to enjoy it. It isn't the same.

I've never actually seen the film myself, never saw the Great Escape all the way through either, something has always got in the way
