I've been toying with going to see it as the reviews (apart from here) have been highly positive and I thought it looked half decent in the previews. I was also interested to see how he played himself in the lead. I'm still not sure after reading those two posts.

You'd lose nothing watching it on film 4 in a year. It was produced by Amazon so it'll be on prime by Christmas I'd guess if you've got that.

Conversely, if you've an unlimited card it's probably worth your time, just about. Nanjiani and his real life wife wrote it, as I'm guessing you know, but they could've done handing off to someone else purely to beef up the gags as there's lots of time devoted to comics ragging on eachother that isn't funny, and that should be a home run in this situation.

Hmmm. My Filmhouse membership discount might not justify it tbh. Trainspotting's got a small re-release and they've a couple of other films I'd really like to see first.

A message from the king 7/10

A decent crime movie set around the murkier side of LA, cheesy at points and there was one part of the overall story that wasn't properly concluded but an enjoyable watch all the same.
It's on Netflix now

Buried; Ryan Reynolds in a coffin for 90 minutes on a phone. Worth it for the ending alone.

Saw Atomic Blonde after Rory mentioned it on here.

Superb. Good fight scenes, excellent music, some nipple action and a very good sound track
