You would think so. There's almost always extra steps between a normal life and homelessness than folk admit to. As he's been keen to point out it's not drink or drugs, so must be something else. I don't believe I live in a city in which you can go from a normal life to living on the streets hoping for £18 for a hostel all because you were attacked in a bar. No chance.
If you are to become homeless you go to the council and they put you in temporary accommodation until a council gaff is available. Or you go to a housing association and they put you up. That's what I did, piece of piss.

If there is no housing available at the time you stop paying your rent/mortgage and you have no friends or family who can help, I can see how you get to that stage. It would take a fair bit of bad luck though.
Once you are evicted from your house, things like the internet and mobile phones get harder to obtain and use.

What's the most annoying household chore for people? I'm not a fan of doing the dishes but I'm good at just doing them regulary, don't really iron anything unless i really need to, hoovering can be left until such time i can be arsed.
For me the thing i hate most is changing bed sheets, don't know why but i always know I'm going to get raging with it before i start, just an absolute faff and a massive pain in the arse.
