If you think it's offensive or not is up to you, but to pretend that the "message is clear" is fucking laughable. Nobody has a clue what they were going for

My flatmate is doing some kind of bodyweight circuit in his bedroom. Doesn't bother me at all - I'm up anyway - but surely at 8am that's a bit obnoxious given we have downstairs neighbours?
Not going to mention it or that, as it's up to them to do so if they have an issue. Is it reasonable to assume they'll be up at this time? They both work, but one from home.

It's a bit of a dick move but just within the limits of acceptability for living in a flat. 8am to 10pm through the week and any noise made doing normal stuff is fine.
That said, choosing to exercise (geddit?) that right at 8am everyday marks them out as a dick.

8am-8pm I would suggest is fair game. Weekends are another matter though
I'm watching ghostbusters 2 on film 4 atm. I've probably not seen it since I was in my teens.
You know what the most ridiculous thing in it is? I'm willing to accept there are ghosts, and happyangry goo, and that ghosts can be zapped and the statue of liberty can go for a stroll. The most ridiculous thing is that Sigourney Weaver can go from playing cello in the New York Philharmonic and is suddenly a fine art conservator at the manhattan museum of art.

Neither forms of Joni or Freddie's art required the level of training to become either a concert musician at one of the world's leading symphonies or a conservator at one of the worlds leading arts organisations.
I don't doubt that Mitchell and Mercury put a great deal of work in to their various artistic talents, but they could be achieved independently and only needed to be appealing to the masses in order to be succesful. Neither of Dana's jobs can be achieved without literally thousands of hours practice and to jump from one to the other - whilst having a baby and bringing it up as a single mother - stretches the believability of the entire Ghostbusters universe to breaking point.
