Thankfully there was a limit on how much she could take out. She said there was people walking passed and stuff but she was that scared that she just went into autopilot. Brutal.

They're all inside buildings here (with many staffed by security guards during office hours), which makes it a lot more secure - but even then, I almost never withdraw cash after dark.

The ATM's are outside, but in a sort of telephone box? I pretty much carry what I'm comfortable losing. No more than a few hundred quid worth at any point and most of the time about £50-100.

Guy I know swears by keeping 5000-10000 pesos at home, in case there's an intruder. His argument is having the cash to give an armed burglar would probably save his and his wife's life.  What a world.

Is it really that good? I've probably seen about 20 episodes of it and it comes across as a pseudo-intellectual soap opera. I find all sitcoms tedious, so that doesn't help I suppose.
