I'm not sure if mountain rescue regularly get call outs to the centre of glasgow but i wouldn't bet against today being the first.

The last time I went they had practically fuck all there: birds, chimps and some sad-looking big cats. About £50 to get in as well.

Is the sea lion enclosure still there? I remember there being flamingos, giraffes and zebra too when I was wee, but think they were all away when I last went.

Do they still do the penguin parade as well? How the fuck was that allowed? Poor things getting obese on a diet of thrown Chipsticks and jaffa cakes Warnock

They're not going to be jumping through flaming hoops Lew, they just lie about sunbathing or sleeping.

They got rid of the 'big cat walk' as they finally realised the enclosures were way too wee. They've got a big new tiger bit though and think the lions still have a huge enclosure. Still do the penguin parade but they don't force them out or that, see which ones line up wanting a wee wander so you could be lucky and get a lot doing it but I've seen only 1 or 2 doing it last few times I was working there Laugh

same with the tiger. The panda was lying sleeping as were the chimpanzees, the rhino and the Zebras were standing completely stationary, literally didn't move a muscle Warnock

the only half decent thing were the tiny wee monkeys.

Was actually pretty boring but awrite for a wee walk about I suppose. I was standing next to a family at the chimp enclosure and one of the wee kids went 'look monkeys!' and the da goes 'theyre not monkeys they're like gorillas or something' Monto

We used to wind the zoo keepers up massively, used to see how many times we could get them to go â€œthey're not monkeys, they're apes!â€ Think the record was about 8 times in a night jjay

They go fucking mental after hours, should see the state they get themselves into running through they tunnels in the roof up in the chimpanzee house. It would be silent and dark and all of a sudden 2 of them would belt through, horrible Laugh

They've not had elephants for years, polar bear is at Blair Drummond I'm sure.
