Aye, completely agree and would add that the name 'Champions League' has absolutely no merit when some of the most consistent teams haven't even been champions domestically for a decade or more.

I hate the fact that for years this money basically funded at least a couple of star players for the Old Firm each season, which helped them strangle the life out of the top tier and that's completely ignoring the imbalanced and ridiculous SPL prize money system.

I hate seeding in general. Obviously it's not football-specific but it's just a blatant way of ensuring the better, more popular teams will be present in the later rounds. It's an attempr to maximise earnings by removing the elememt of chance that makes knock-out tournaments exciting and no-one ever seems to question it.
