£500 on each kid doesn't sound that horrendous, just looks bad because it's such a big pile. Some kids will have that spent on 1 present.

They'll be opening the equivalent of 100 days of Acey's Christmas. Would rather have 1 or 2 more expensive gifts and a mother that loves me.

I think I've been around £250 each for mine this year and they've got loads. If you start early and get the Autumn sales etc you save a fortune. Probably saved nearly £300 on their presents.
