This story has got a bit of everything to kind of symbolise the state of the world like. 12 year old kills himself partaking in a social media human experiment, his religious mum refuses to listen to medical experts, instead turns to genuine lunatics who've made her think she can keep him alive by mouth to mouth(is that what that's saying?) and divine intervention. Can't say I've followed it too deeply but it's a really depressing case all round.

Think that's about hyperventilation and shit. Like the "fairy faints" kids used to do when I was at school. Hanging yourself from your stairs isn't a "challenge", that's suicide.

And that's if the story is right. Not bashing the ma for her lifestyle choices but her version of events has changed quite a lot. Bit sus.

Don't think you can say for sure.  The challenge is where you choke yourself out because you get a good feeling just as it happens or something like that.  It's been around for years, was made popular again when YouTube took off and has apparently been going round TikTok now. Kids were using belts and that.

I'm sure I read earlier that 80 folk had died doing it over the years.  

He maybe meant to do it though but I don't think  the challenge thing is that far fetched an idea.
