Vape shop went kaboom and now listed buildings are crumbling down. What a metaphor.
These shops are a hotbed for trafficked labour who might speak no English/be scared to call emergency services and chock full of highly combustible lithium batteries. Recipe for disaster.

A vape shop on fire, I’m sure a totally innocent accident

It is fucking sickening the amount of buildings that are reduced to rubble thanks to fire or gross mismanagement in this city. Between this and those absolute goons on the pitch earlier I would love to get to fuck out of here eventually in my life. The People Make Glasgow stuff is the biggest trick the devil ever pulled honestly.

For the most part it is a superb city to live in tbf. My wife went to uni there so spent a lot of time when I was younger, it was class having the option of both cites for the 4 year. We considered moving through on a permo before I took my current job.
Suppose it depends where you live and the types you have to be around on a daily basis. I would struggle to live and work around old firm fans every single day, hibs fans aren’t even that bad by the same comparison. Wouldn’t let football dictate my life but it’s such a massive part of glasgows identity I don’t think there’s any escaping it - at least no in the sort of areas I could afford

There's a strong link between working class cities and a cultivated mythos that says they're all poets, storyteller, comedians etc. Liverpool, Newcastle and Glasgow. Dunno who started it - the people trying to look past the squalor, or the establisment giving them a shiny bit of tinfoil to grab their attention.

Hope this fire sparks (lol) a bit of discussion about these vape shops as they’re absolutely everywhere and the batteries are clearly a huge hazard.
You can barely walk down a street without passing 3/4 of them and the amount of them that occupy the ground floor commercial unit of a block of flats is ridic. All these tenements where the only way out is the front door directly next to the shop. I’d never really thought about how dangerous that is until seeing that video.

Anyone who vapes is a manky cunt tbqh. Shame on them for perpetuating this aspect of the grey economy.

I'd bet my life on Johnny and Terry being avid vapers.

I read recently that vapes were responsible for something like 1200 bin lorry fires last year, or something

Massive vapist, cheaper than fags. I loved smoking, too dear now but in this economy. Got a refillable / rechargeable vape I'm never off the fucking thing tbh
