It should be banned, and anyone who transgresses should face the death penalty. Simple.

But I'm very very confused by many of the comments on the last couple of pages. Lions are "an exotic animal" so they should be protected from these evil cowardly cunts - but goats aren't "exotic", so they shouldn't? Why in the world are goats (or pheasants, or deer, or grouse, or whatever) less precious than "exotic animals"? Do we think they don't feel pain when killed? Do we think it doesn't cause incredible pain to their families?

It's just arrogance. All of it. Human beings playing God. Killing animals for food is necessary. Killing animals for pleasure is outrageous, and shouldn't be allowed anywhere. Even the comments about this poor sleeping lion are bizarre. Newsflash: the lion would've had no chance whether asleep or awake. It's not somehow worse because it was asleep. It's vile and monstrous, pure evil either way. Period.

Vegetarians survive just fine without meat so killing animals for food isn't "necessary" in the first world.
