Anyone been following this stuff going on in hong kong

There have been protests for a while about some chinese extradition laws, but recently the Triads (allegedly) have steamed in and started battering protesters with poles and the police didn't bother responding until it was all over.

The protests haven't been entirely peaceful, been a bit of storming gvt/city buildings but this has taken it to a completely different level. A load of journalists battered and their cameras taken too.
