Diaz tweeted fuck the UFC after the fight announcement and left the press conference after McGregor Khabib was announced. Seems like the fight might already be off. Read a report that he only signed to fight Poirier as he thought it was the same card as McGregor and would get part of the PPV.
Khabib should rag doll McGregor. Can't seem his ground game having much to trouble Khabib, especially as he'll probably be fighting off his back.
DJ vs Cejudo and Dillashaw vs Garbandt should be decent fights, though the rest of the card is weak.
It is strange that the fights aren't on the same card. Both fights are linked and the press conferences would be incredible with Khabib, Diaz and McGregor
Seen rumours that Jones will be on the Diaz card but who knows. Either way love him or hate him, as soon as Mcgregor is back in the picture things are 100 times more exciting.
If Jones headlines, that could be a brilliant card. Yoel Romero vs Paulo Costa, Israel Adesanya vs Derek Brunson have already been agreed and Rockhold Vs Weidman was reported by ESPN.
Joanne Calderwood back at 125 just won via armbar, with 3s left of the first round. Her first submission win.
She looked a lot better on the ground. Spent the majority of time in guard, but was calmer than in previous fights. Had a more active defence and the transition to the triangle was pretty slick.
Hopefully she stays at 125 and can go on a run as that division is a bit of a mess at the moment.
