I've been telling you chaps for years.

Hit wee Budgie and her brother in the purse.

One will have to pick oneself up and be grateful that one still has a club.

I reckon Budge and Pieman thought they could hide behind Bloom and last night has shook them.

I hope it’s continued even if we win on Sunday. Enough is enough.

Gerry Mallon sounds like someone who would be head of the Green brigade.

Fair point, i know a Mallon who's a huge Celtic fan.

I think FoH must have took a real battering last night reading all the stories of pledges being withdrawn.

This has been coming for a long time. It has turned into a handy wee piggy bank with no specific purpose. I don't even blame the people involved in the FoH. They are quite clearly trying their best. It's the way the club, specifically Ann Budge, has turned the thing into a pointless farce.

Was set up to be as constrained as possible with no real powers despite supposedly owning the club.
Really just money into the club for McKinlay and Budge to spend as they see fit.
The money should sit each year unattributed and the club has to pitch to a FoH Board how they'd like to spend it. And why. We have the right to decline and hold onto the funds.

Did you genuinely expect anything else?

They are all quite happy to have a club to support and won’t do or say a thing that would potentially put them on the naughty step with Budge & Co.

It’s the fundamental problem with the whole FOH setup, anyone who’d dare to question what’s going on and attempt to hold anyone to account hasn’t got a snowball in hells chance of getting on the board. So we’re left with a club employee and a happy clapper to represent us.

Is it true they had sight of every question in advance?

stating the obvious here but heard from someone at hearts that Budge genuinely doesn’t take criticism well and anyone who doesn’t tow the line is jettisoned to the gulags

I think Claire Hammond has a genuine desire to improve parts that she can such as communication so that's fair enough.

Locke spent the entire show moaning about the negativity of the fans and saying how good the FoH is. Such a waste of a seat on the FoH board but that's what the fans wanted. Monty Oh Well

A club employee sitting on the FOH board is a joke, the fact that Locke can’t see that himself points to the fact he shouldn’t be anywhere near it imo. Not slating him at all he’s obviously got good intentions but he doesn’t need to do everything ffs.

He said he was approached to go into the FOH, wonder by who? Surely not the foundation themselves.

Well aye, more of a rhetorical one I guess Laugh

It’s something that massively puts me off about the foundation is the fans don’t actually treat it the way it really should be run. The same members who will moan that they’re not being listened to will blindly chuck their money into it but disregard the voting side of it.

Mallon should’ve spoke to Locke about how it’s a very bad look and encouraged him not to stand for it.

That’s something else Locke says that makes me think what the fuck is he doing on the board of a charity.

He responds “who would pay for them” when asked if there is a case to bring in some full time members of staff. Forget comms and all that it is an absolute mess that a charity the size of FOH that is bringing in that much money doesn’t have a full time fundraising manager. It’s the absolute fundamental of your organisation, you would probably pay something like 40k a year - how much is FOH bringing in a year?

You then have targets for these people, something like bring in 2.5x their wage for example.

I mentioned before my grandad just died there, something like 70+ years of service following the hearts, paid into every scheme going away back to the gorgie stand thing. Not once was he contacted providing info about leaving something to hearts/foundation when he passes on, even smaller charities will usually have someone dealing with legacy fundraising. We’re approaching some sort of “national will month” or similar and you’ll see loads of charities signed up to the free will network offering free wills with the idea people will leave a percentage to whatever charity they’re doing it through. Can almost guarantee this is something that FOH won’t be doing.

It has so much potential, bringing in an amount of money that established charities would be envious of and its run like this. For comparison, even Big Hearts have full time staff.
