McNulty has done well since January, in fairness. i doubt he'll work in the lone striker role that McLeish adopts, though.

Fletcher has been on a decent run, but we decided not to risk him and start a player that hasn't played in around a month instead.

In fairness it was Fletcher who said “he'd leave it”.

But for some reason this guy is chucked on for a tricky debut because he plays in a certain league and had an absolute nightmare.

It's this sky sports mentality. Cunts like
McLeish, his son an agent, in this bubble which way over rates players like that.

Alex Neil is the only possible option on that list surely?

So many other countries have realised that the old grandfather type manager doesn't work in international football anymore and are thriving under young ex-players who can connect with the players regardless of their wider managerial experience - Southgate, Martinez, Bilic, Luis Enrique, Giggs etc.

We're looking at Strachan and Davie Moyes Zlat

Looking at those options, he's the only one that's realistically going to take it. Clarke and McInnes aren't going to touch it with a barge pole, Michael O'Neill has already told us to bolt, and Alex Neil isn't far away from getting a top end Championship gig the way he's going. Moyes is the top of the remaining "options" :Laugh

Moyes ticks two of the main boxes that the SFA are looking for - he's Scottish and unemployed.

He also ticks box three, which is he either played for or managed one of the Old Firm. Sally

They had a world class forward and a couple of good hard-working EPL players and a manager that most importantly knew how to set them up to be effective. Competence is all we ask for in the Scottish National team coach .... ohhh, and maybe a near WC lad that can stick it away!
