Inverness Caledonian Thistle winger Jake Mulraney has been training with hearts as Craig levein looks to sign a wide player in the january window.  

This will be the reality of Craig Levein signings.

Players like Callachan and Mulraney. It's frustrating as fuck as we made a big statement with Lafferty and Berra especially with the alleged wages we've paid to get them. I know the budget isn't infinite but if we can't afford to have decent players across the board I'd rather we hadn't paid massive wages on 2 players and strengthened with better players than we have but dont command 7 grand a week.

It's all good having the calibre of player like Berra and Lafferty but they're not good enough that they'll win you games on their own. They need better players around them to get the best from them. Berra has been solid most weeks tbf but I'll be honest Lafferty feels like a waste at the moment. And not because of his lack of ability, because we can't actually create any chances for him.

Agree, I've only been to the last 2 games so can't speak for before that but the way we've been playing would suit Lafferty perfect I reckon.

He's not a target man but he's great in the air and if we can get some of those whipped balls in I reckon he'll be dangerous. Just need our full backs to stop these daft flat sideway early balls in. So ineffective, I think it must be something that works a lot in youth football as it's the only thing Brandon ever does and it never works.

He does have pace, I mind commentators on the radio raving about his pace in a game they played at the start of last season in that diddy cup, he didn't do anything in the SPL though.
