He'll be shite but at this stage there is genuinely nothing to lose playing Edwards. Sure he can probably pass the ball sideways so can do as much as lee and bozanic already.

I reckon I'm just a wee bit younger than VS, but that was my first night on the terraces at Tynecastle. Not my first game, as I'd got a season ticket for the first time that year but sat in the old Panini family enclosure with my old man, when he wasn't at Ibrox. We'd queued up in the rain on the Sunday to get tickets for that match and I met Mr Mercer for the first time as he chatted to us outside the ticket office. My old man decided to pie the family enclosure and just asked for tickets for the terrace instead for some reason, probably cheaper or some shit like that, and I watched that game from behind the goal that the ball went into. One of the best yet scariest times I've had at Tynecastle when that goal went in.

I was in my usual spot in the Shed, fractionally left of being able to look down the line. Lots of mental times in there but that has to be up there with them all. Don't remember anything at all about the rest of the game or night. The only time I think I've been more knackered/scared of falling & getting trampled after a goal was at a cup match at Celtic Park vs Rangers (I think!) where we took the lead (I think!).
I so miss those days of terracing.

I was there that day too, we played Rangers in a Scottish Cup semifinal, Allan Preston scored in sure and we were all crammed into one Pen behind the goal while the other lay empty. Was convinced I was going to die when that goal went in. Wished I had after the game when I got chased from Dalmarnock Road to Mill Street in Rutherglen by a team of neds, only escaped by jumping on a 46 to Castlemilk.  Topped off a thoroughly miserable day.

Alan Preston, hah. He always reminded me of Ted McMinn, the tin man; sort of square backed with no neck, like he was running around with a big cardboard box under his Gers toap!

Bobby Burns on the bench as well. Wasn't he doing quite well first half of the season on loan? What's he got to do to get a look in? Wighton forgot about him. We spent money on him too.
