Not quite the halfway line but he starts it all there:

3-0 at Tynecastle in 2006. Hartley absolutely rinsing Boruc with an early free kick.

And mine.

A few draws before that but that was the first time I saw us beat them in person.

Never realised that Robbo scored the most competitive goals by a Hearts player against both Celtic and Rangers in addition to Hibs. What a legend. His records will never be broken.

Think my first was Austin McCann.

It's mental how pissed off we get now if we're heavily beaten by Celtic in comparison to the way I remember it being when I was growing up. You'd go into home games with the Old Firm, let alone away games, expecting to lose by a few. When it happened you'd be disappointed, but not angry because it was always what was expected. It was only really under Romanov that I remember starting to feel like we could realistically hope for wins, with heavy losses actually becoming bad results.

Edit: not sure how much of this is just down to my formative years as a Hearts fan being Levein's first spell, when we were a decent side but hopeless against the OF Heh But I do think there was a 5-10 year spell around the late nineties/early noughties when it was just totally apparent that no-one was getting near them.

First win against them was a 1-0 game at Tynecastle with McSwegan scoring. Beat them home and away that season.

It was in 2000 ya rocket, not 2017. Couldn't remember if my first win was the Austin McCann game or the 1-0 in 2000 Laugh

My first one was in around 1995 where it was pissing down with rain, and Celtic fans were given polystyrene cushions and turning them into crosses.

Robbo shut them up good and proper Greggy

Here's my first one. Absolute pishing rain and the referee adding on a ridiculous amount of stoppage time in an effort to get them the equaliser (with my old man saying 'get used to that' after the game finished):

I honestly can't remember if I made this game, was deffo at the next fixture, a 1-1 draw with Celtic at Hamden, Jim Bett with a pen for us and Van Hooijdonk on his debut for Celtic.

First game I really remember us beating them was the 96/97 season, league cup game 1-0 from robbo, The week after the ibrox 4 debacle so debuts for Naysmith and Andy Thorn, was sat in section L of the school end when it was still the home end

That must have been one of Alan McLaren's last Hearts games, fairly sure that was the first time I'd seen us beat them too

That was the season we beat them 1-0 at Hampden with David Hagen scoring on Van Hooijdonk's debut

I must be mixing a couple of games up, there was definitely a 1-0 win with Hagen scoring, if memory serves he'd had a head knock and was concussed in that game with the joke being he must need rattled in the head to get a good game out of him

Maybe it was Hagen who scored that night but it was deffo a 1-1 draw on van hooijdonks debut, to be fair to us both it's over 25 years ago

Edit - it was Jim Bett
