It's been a while since we played Auchinleck

Played well this season but personally, I think in the current landscape of Hearts it's time to move on from Devlin.

I think keep him around for another season and get a Jamestown special in.
ITK Poster.

Would love to keep him but if he sees himself in that captain role, undroppable, top wages I’m not sure I’d be keen on that.
He’s been superb this season so would be happy to see us get a deal done though, would be a shame to lose him for free as well.

I think what he'll be looking for and what we'd be wanting to offer him will be quite far apart. He's probably earned himself a decent enough move. I'd keep him for continuity but he wouldn't be starting every game.
Wouldn't be shocked if both Beni and Devlin move on.

Wouldn't bat an eyelid if he left, tbh. Would expect the nerds to be able to find loads of guys better than him.

The perfomative play for the badge, Elvhis patter is grating on me a bit, tbh. You are a cog in a machine who carries the piano for others to play it.
He's not hard enough to be a Bruno type and not skillful enough to be a Skacel type. Keep the head down and do your run about thing.

He’s likely on good money and he’s first name on the team sheet when he’s fit but he gets injured for long spells and it leaves us with a bit of a makeshift midfield for stints. Wouldn’t be at hertz this long if it wasn’t for the injuries but I do think we need to get a man in the middle who’s a bit more physically reliable. Even when he is fit you panic a bit whenever he goes doon. In the past I’d be wanting to cling on to him but now we have this new scouting system hopefully we can replace him well although Ageu hasn’t exactly had the best of starts on that front either.

I'll miss Beni, but I hear what you are saying. We really need that Paul hartley/Callum McGregor type player who does his thing week in week out. Folk dropping out every 5-6 weeks with a strain hampers us.

Quite often players will get slated for looking beyond hearts and not giving a fuck, this guy is the total opposite of that. He’s fully adopted Edinburgh as his home and does so much work for hearts off the pitch as well for the community side. I think he sees himself as lucky to be here rather than us lucky to have him and he’s kicked on a lot since he joined. We can criticise his football but I don’t think it’s fair to question how much the club means to him, he’s allowed to be passionate about hertz without it being false.

I think he's ramped it up a bit, keeping the fans onside for his bosman move.

Since he joined, the other guys we’ve signed to play centre mid have been:
Jorge Grant Snodgrass Kio Nieuwenhof Alex Lowry Scott Fraser Boateng Dhanda Spittal Kartum McEntee Magnusson Ageu ![]() Would be mental not to keep hold of Devlin for another year or so even if we’re hoping to phase him out the first choice team.

It was less than 2 years ago, and would never be able to recall any of Scott Fraser's appearances

In terms of ability I'm ranking them: Snodgrass Beni Boateng McEntee Devlin Kio Wouldn't mind Boateng in this team actually ![]() Also Niewenhof when is he back? Class wee pler.
