My brother’s dog is actually called Rudi so that was ruled out anyway.
He's already called Solo because he was the only one of a litter of six that survived and there’s not a chance I can change that now

Anyone recommend any decent free online puppy training sites/channels?
Got Solo from a gun dog breeder so by puppy standards he’s really well trained but quite keen to keep at it. Would like to avoid having to take him to paid classes if possible as I know so many folk with dogs he’ll be around others plenty. Not really worried about the socialisation part.

Zigzag app was good for me.
Free trial if I remember right. You can probably skip a decent bit too if some stuffs already mastered

We tried different YouTube videos etc and they are ok for some basics but i can’t recommend enough doing some 1 on 1 sessions with a trainer. A lot of these generic type online things and even things like the dogs trust just do blanket guidance for every dog rather than what you specifically need. For ours recall was a bit of a nightmare to begin with and the stuff we read online wasn’t really working so we got this lassie and she tailored the recall exercises to the actual dug. We only done 3 in total and the improvements were mad. Think it was some sort of puppy deal package and she was about 5/6 mth at the time. https://www.understandingdogs.co.uk/ We used her, she’s honestly minted Wish we had just got on to her right at the start.

Absolutely destroyed a bone from the butchers yesterday. Kept him occupied for a good 3 hours.
No rep, no problem

Anyone know if these are harmful? There’s loads of bushes round our way and they’re obviously perfect for kids chucking so there’s hundreds lying about the ground. He's already going for them when on the lead so would be worried about how many he might eat if we let him off.

![]() Dunno but she had one in her mouth the other day anaw. You can try train leave it with a good treat and a bad treat. Put the bad treat on the ground in house and say leave it, every time they do it give them the good treat. If they go for the treat just push them away until they sit and wait and do what they’re meant to. Then work up to outside. Took us a while to get it and still working on it but it works most of the time outside the house now unless it’s a biscuit or some sort of food.
