Raikkonen was good yesterday. He doesn't start well so i'd imagine Vettel will be ahead of him by the 1st corner.

In fact I reckon Vettel win win today.

Moving from Red Bull to Renault seems mad atm but Hamilton moved from McLaren to Mercedes which also seemed mad at the time. Perhaps Renault will be the team to beat in a couple of years?

Anyway Red Bull are Verstappens team.

Alonso confirms F1 retirement at the end of the season. Was really hoping to see him in a better car for at least another year but not to be.
Surely is going to Indy next season though

Just saw it on the news and McLaren made out it was for a year. His tweet says otherwise.

Love Alonso as a driver but he made himself unselectable from the top teams by falling out with too many people in his younger years.

A JB year then. He should keep his options open though, if McLaren can sort themselves out he could come back after a year out having won the triple crown.

Winning the Indy 500 will be the hardest for him to win imo. He's more than capable but he'll need the right car and everything to fall into place.

Would any potential triple crown win not be a bit tainted anyway? I'm sure I read that his Toyota team were basically the only team that could win Le Mans.

Still need the reliability to go 24 hours and not to crash. Its was no certainty.

Toyota are effectively without direct opposition at Le Mans this year because they are the only team racing in the leading LMP1 hybrid class, following the withdrawal at the end of last season of champions Porsche.

The other LMP1 cars, which are not hybrids and are run by privateer teams, have a series of handicaps laid out in the rules.

They are not allowed to lap faster the Toyotas, and if they do, they are called in to the pits for a drive-through penalty. Hybrids can do 11 laps between fuel stops and non-hybrids only 10 and hybrids have a minimum pit-stop time five seconds shorter than the non-hybrids.â€
