50k. A very expensive touch of a car Warnock

I've not kept up with things this week, did Merc gain their speed from tampering with the rear wing then?

Thats the rumour. I saw Max touching his own wing then Hamiltons. He must've suspected something.

Seems to be a fault when DRS was opening that it was opening a bit too wide at the outside, it's not been proven that it gave them that much of an advantage but it's not been disproven either which is the problem.

Would say we'd get a better idea today but we won't when he's having to get past the whole field :Laugh

Curious that only Hamilton (the title challenger) has the issue while Bottas didn't. Almost like they tinkered with Hamilton's car hoping to get away with one

Correct. Not sure why anyone would doubt Lewis has a big chance tomorrow. Demonstrated the pace this weekend was not just down to rear wing issue. If he runs an alternate strategy and Valterri does his bit then he's right in the hunt.

Both RBs with shan starts. A concern for them tomorrow. Max couldn't get past Bottas in the 2nd half of the race even though he was on the Mediums. Much to mull over.

Can't see how he makes up 8 places and then makes up the 20/30 seconds Verstappen and Bottas are up the road. I'd love for it to happen as it's been a great season and I'd rather we didn't have a damp squib at the end.

Bottas and Verstappen won't be that far ahead by the time he gets to 3rd. 10 seconds or so imo. He has the pace to hunt them down. Hopefully makes for a good race though. Sound

You can't see how Hamilton goes from 10th to 1st? You've been sleeping the last 15 year then. Warnock

You can't see how Verstappen (and Bottas, maybe) will be miles up the road by the time Hamilton gets into the top three? You've been sleeping the last year then. Warnock

Obviously Hamilton has it in him to go from 10th to 1st, not right now, though. Will be pleasantly surprised if he does it, though.

Because in the majority of race ps this season Hamilton and/or Verstappen have ended up finishing 20/30 seconds ahead and are normally well ahead of the pack by the pit stop windows.

He can get to third, maybe even get ahead of Bottas, but without Verstappen having a disaster/some strange weather/a weird strategy he isn't likely to win.

But Bottas and Max were doing 13.0s and Hamilton was doing 12.4s in the 2nd half of the sprint. Hamilton also qualified almost half a second up on Max on Friday.

Hamilton will try and go longer on the mediums tomorrow.

Hamilton is 2nd favourite at 5/2 to win. Bookies taking no chances.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hamilton is 5th by end of lap one.

Settle. He'll definitely work his way up but unless Bottas deliberately holds Max up they will be way ahead by the time Hamilton reaches Perez, who will then be trying everything to hold him up. Checo won't give up easy.

Every chance Hamilton is on the podium, would be surprised if he's not, but the only way he wins is if Max DNFs.

If you're saying, if Max has a clear run from lights to flag he will win the race then I agree, but I'd agree with that if Hamilton was on 2nd row.

I fancy Hamilton getting better traction from the start, so he could take a 2-3 in the first set of corners and one on the back straight at end of 1st lap.

Not impressed with Perez at all this weekend, but granted RB are better in race trim.
