Jury's still out on the story aspect of it though.  Feels like there's lots to do but nothing to do at the same time.

Feels like there's 10x more captains/warlords etc so doesn't really feel as personal as the initial nemesis system.  Might change as the game gets more in depth though, ive not unlocked branding yet.

That was my one criticism of the last one - too much busywork that didn't really feel like it impacted on your gameplay. I got a bit bored with the side missions in the end as they were quite samey.

A lot of the side missions involve feuds against captains/bosses. I really enjoy that but there's about 10x the amount now and also 10x the amount of wee intel guys which makes it easy as fuck to find out their weakness.

In 1 those wee intel guys were quite scarce so you actually had to be smart about what you wanted to learn. But on this one they're everywhere so it doesn't matter. I'm sure it'll still be a good game it just doesn't feel quite as good as 1 so far.

You get items now so can upgrade your armour/weapons etc which is quite good. Wee bit more RPG in that sense and your character actually levels rather than just becomes stronger. The ability tree is actually pretty decent and pretty customisable.

Shadow of war, like the one before it gets great as soon as you can start branding fuck out captains. Laugh

Such a good game, just need to advance the story until you can start taking forts.

The gameplay is still fairly repetitive but I don't think that's really a problem, I've basically pied the story off for now just to start creating the armies in different regions.

Thinking of getting rid of the PS4 and getting a PC. Never been without a console since i was about 7 or 8. Are gaming laptops a waste of time?

You would need to spend about double on a laptop to get a similar performance out a desktop.

You could probably get a decent gaming desktop for about 500, assuming you'd build it yourself. Probably looking at closer to a grand for a laptop that can comfortably run the bigger games.

You're also fucked with a laptop as they're only as good as the day you buy them, can't really upgrade the hardware like on a desktop.

Agreed. Deal with it

The money you spend on the system itself will pale in comparison to the money you save on games. Get on board. Putitthere
