It was genuinely crazy. Used to individual bolts of lightning, not that electrical storm constant flashing that was going on. Then the rain finally hit and it was the heaviest I've ever seen, proper giant rain bouncing off the roads, flash flood type shit you see in tropical countries.

Storm here was bit of a damp squib (Bruntsfield/Merchiston). Heard it coming for ages, expected fireworks, got lots of thunder & lightning but just 20 mins of rain.

Heaviest rain ever for me is a 3-way tie: half way up Schiehallion one year, plus a night in Valencia for a Scotland game which felt like an unrepeatable torrent for them until it was repeated the very next night.
