I'd guess that he'll fit into our wage structure, but if Levein's literally saying in interviews that he's signed him to sit on the bench then he won't be among our higher earners. The fact we were offering a two year contract will also have played a part. Sammon, on the other hand, was apparently signed to lead the line and was coming from down south while in his prime. You'd expect him to have been at the higher end of our wage structure at the time (i.e. less than Lafferty or Naismith obviously, but still one of our higher earners).

I actually don't mind that and can sort of get on board with what Levein was saying. Just have the fear Lafferty goes and we're left with the Cambridge boy and Maclean.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but I'm not worried about Lafferty leaving in the summer. Not unless it's for a fee the club can't turn down in which case I wouldn't have an issue with it.

If these rumours are anything other than just shit getting posted on forums I'm sure he would know about it. And if that's the case I just don't see him repeatedly coming out with the sort of statements he has been.
