My assumption is that not everyone who drinks does so to get drunk; in fact, it's more than an assumption, given attitudes to alcohol in Europe and increasingly, among young Britons, are very different. I've quit Diet Coke by the way. Just water for me now.

But it is human nature to enjoy getting fucked up by mind altering substances (or just having a few before a match to loosen up). Don't patronise football fans with 0% bevvy though, you are maybe appealing to 5% (at best) of fans. Too many brackets.

You should have a few beers Shaun, life's too short to not even try a wee bit of alcohol.

Who drinks beer just because they enjoy the taste?

Some booze tastes superb - some doesn't. Hard to judge it on taste alone though because it's not just about the taste.
You can't compare it to Diet Coke or whatever because they are different animals. Getting pissed with your mates is one of life's great joys, Shaun. You are genuinely missing out.

Fuck Ann Budge. She's draining the life out this club.
What next? Gloves on every seat to stop the noise of a clap?
ITK Poster.

Yeah, I'll sometimes have 1-2 beers because I enjoy the taste. I'd say that even then it's not just the taste, though - the alcohol helps you to chill out and wind down a bit. It can be partly about the alcohol without being about getting drunk.
I guess I don't really have a problem with the club selling alcohol-free beer; it's just that the way this is being marketed is so quintessentially Budge era Hearts.

They are our supplier for the fans bar and obviously trying to push this zero bar to other clubs/venues etc. They'll be paying for it (installation and a fee to the club).

Yeah it seems like an ok idea tbh as it will be getting pushed by the brewer. With the way the drink driving laws are there is deifnitely a market for alcohol free beer. I dont mind a few of the german ones, which are alright. If you are out and driving, then there are only so many soft drinks you can have, so an alcohol free beer is alright. I've got a few in my beer fridge for when folk are visiting and have the car.
But I can also see how it is the most budge era hearts thing ever, especially hot on the heels of her threatening to shut down section N because some folk are standing, while we are in the middle of a shite run of form and lost 2-0 to st mirren away.
