When did Italy go into lockdown?

Identical numbers today with an additional 54 in the UK. Us today and then 2 weeks ago exactly 233 deaths. How anyone can keep saying Italy is the perfect storm and we won't be as bad when we're literally progressing at the same rate is beyond me.

2 weeks from now we'll be talking about 500+ deaths a day in the UK.

They went into lockdown on 9th March. I can't see us doing that within 2 days, so I think we'll see a worse significantly death toll than Italy by this stage. Hopefully not, but I honestly think cat is out the bag at this stage and no one seems to give a fuck.

Weirdly I do feel quite protected from it following the advice and staying home where I'm meant to. Probably stupidly but I'm going to go visit my mum for a couple hours tomorrow then that will be it for a wee while I think. I'd rather not but I'm going to use it as a chance to properly talk about my grandad as don't think the message is getting through over text/phone.

Was frozen veg sold out as well? Was the slimmest of pickings unless you wanted some Okra.

Eggs are an issue as well. I saw a local cafe is hooking up customers with his suppliers and doing a veg box, with eggs and milk, delivered, for £30.

So many of these things are going to be great though, little community initiatives that are bringing people closer together. Plus getting in a paesano or spanish butcher delivery.

Aye, went for a couple laps of the park near us earlier and popped into M&S on the way home. Admittedly it was about 4:45 on Saturday afternoon but there was absolutely nothing left in the fresh veg section, and the frozen section had regular and sweet potato fries and about 30 bags of peas but nothing else at all.

Man's in south London these days so the okra is about the first thing to go Scooped their last 18 cans of Moretti though
