The law on this is a clusterfuck as their guidance and the law don't marry up. Folk shouldn't be going to the shops in pairs or more, but if they wanted they could have easily made it so when they wrote the law. The fact is they didnt which is either an oversight or more likely another experiment for their nudge unit/stab at herd immunity.

Also, “the rate of infections is starting to slow” was being pushed by Neil Ferguson, wasn't it? The same guy who 2 days ago claimed the peak would be 260 deaths at the end of this week? I'm taking anything he says with a healthy dose of salt.

Mrs Sturgeon just said our infection rate is an underestimation, so we don't really know if the infection rate is slowing or how much, I don't think? I mean, presumably it is because of the measures in place, but I don't think we can be totally certain.

They should be testing as much as Germany if they want a true reflection on infection rates.
