Ive been surprised at the level of tolerance here compared to uk. Folk are anxious to return to work but no one is really goading the gov to stop it early. Maybe because the police here are a bit more serious in giving fines idk.

The new line I've seen all over social media the last few days is “it's not the media's job to hold the government to account. That's the opposition's job”. Jesus

This has sprung up just at the moment people like Peston etc have realised how bad this is and started to challenge the government. And coincidentally just before the new lie that we're a success story has started to get rolled out.

Aye but to view that payslip of getting paid for sitting around doing fuck all really hits home how good it is, on the other hand I live in fear checking e-mails every day, praying they aren't planning on calling us back anytime soon

That seems to be common, must be pretty disheartening tbh. Have also heard of some folk forcing a redundancy instead of accepting a furlough and a pay cut.
