Any restaurant I've ordered from during lockdown the food has arrived piping hot and ready to eat. Why the fuck would i want to put my food in the oven, if I'm doing that I'd be as well making it myself.

You're probably ordering from takeaways or restaurants that are set up properly to do takeaways.

Obviously not talking about normal takeaways but aye restraunts that instead of having punters inside and eating are instead having punters pick up their food or get it delivered. None of them have required putting anything in the oven.

BREAKING: Scotland is now entering Phase 2 of lifting the lockdown restrictions caused by the Coronavirus - Non essential shops and all retail to reopen from Monday 29th June 

Not everything as part of phase 2 will be done at once and instead will be a phased approach.

The following changes will take place:

- People are still asked to remain within 5 miles of local area for travel expected until at least 15th July.

- From today people who are shielding can now go outdoors for exercise, from tomorrow shielding people can now take part in outdoor activities and meet 1 other person from another household.

- From tomorrow people who are not shielding can now meet 2 households outdoors and no more than 8 at anytime, people can now go indoors for use of toilet if meeting in a garden or outside space, people must not gather indoors.

- From tomorrow people staying on there own or a lone parent with a child under 18 can now stay with someone from another household with social distancing.

- Dentist can reopen from this Monday 22nd June

- Places of worship can reopen from this Monday 22nd June

- Outdoor markets can reopen from Monday 29th June 

- Outdoor sports centers can reopen from Monday 29th June 

- Non-essential businesses and retail will be allowed to open from Monday 29th June 

- Indoor shopping centers will remain closed until phase 3

- No exact date for Pubs and restaurants on outdoor space but update expected in the next 2 weeks with a hope of opening outdoor spaces

Cheers Morph, not sure that's that big a market for it down here unfortunately. Most of the restaurants that were doing takeaway/ready to heat foods have either stopped because it wasn't busy enough or they didn't have the infrastructure to do deliveries and everybody was just using takeaways. The ones that are still going are the ones that can do pizzas and things like that and turn it round pretty quick.

Fair enough man. I'm gutted for you like, couldn't have been worse timing.

We're quite lucky living in Edinburgh as there's always going to be a big market for dining out so people will go mad when they see their restaurants offering this stuff. For an introverted weirdo I wish they continued doing it past lockdown but I doubt it

We actually seen that you can put orders in for Stockbridge/Leith market now as well. Got an order from that Knights Kitchen (will have to put a curry in the oven to Lewis' disgust), their stuff looks class and heard good things. A lot of it is pish but a good few vendors.

You should check if there's anything down your way like that, the site we used to find it is NeighbourFood and has a map that you can see all the markets in your area.
