1200 cases yesterday - 16% of those tested.

It's getting a bit out of control - 6 deaths as well....anyone moaning about pubs & restaurants closing needs to have a word.

Wonder if there's a breakdown of who is being tested, by age for example,  How many are asymptomatic (associates of the leper, I assume)?  That's a lot of sick folks, 7200 by my reckoning, that's like one and a half neighbourhoods of Edinburgh that have a tickly cough or are feeling a bit flushed.

Cheers, Frank. I've been on that site a couple of times but just to check local rates. Might spend a bit of time (prob not much tbqh) trying to fathom out daily breakdowns.

I'd be curious to find out what the C/T numbers reveal about those +ive test results and what theri contacts tested.

Are pubs and restaurants the main driver for the increase in cases? It seems to me they had been open ages before cases started to rise again, which appeared to coincide with schools/unis reopening. I don't have any data on it because I can't be fucked searching for it so am probably wrong - just an observation.

They're contributing at least 25% to the totals - the government appears to be looking at the places where they can cut back the social interactions that are spreading the infection.

It's the house gatherings that they'll struggle to limit.

Agreed. After the pubs shut yesterday in extra time everyone just piled into my mate's flat nearby. Made closing the pub pointless tbh.
