Almost as if people follow the rules and do their bit with vaccines, masks, distancing etc we can have these bigger managed events. Who would've knew Wow

It is, which is why research and evidence would be needed for it to be believed.

Is the 3 households thing going to be enforced or just a recommendation? Sounds a lot like a good way to fuck over the hospitality industry but wash your hands of any need to provide it with financial support.

'Strong guidance' so there's no expectation for it to be enforced (as it stands).

They will go back to a borderline lockdown in January with strict travel restrictions in place. They know that they could trigger a complete collapse of the hospitality sector but January is a quieter month…

Yeah but that wasn't happening was it Warnock it was about 100 thousands hippies bottle necking through Glasgow with no masks on singing kumbaya my lord.

I don't trust the government one little bit with their fucked up nonsensical logic on covid, do I think they make it up as they go along including figures, yes I do.

But at least England are consistent in having no PCR tests available!

Popped out to the drop in vaccination centre in Stonehaven on Monday and was in and out in 30 minutes.

Very efficient.

I only realised yesterday that we were in a worse position with daily cases than we were last year at the peak. Knew it was getting bad but hadn't actually seen the numbers.

Me and my bursd talking about chalking off Christmas but it's just not a discussion I want to have with my family as don't think they will be on board with the severity of it and think we just don't want to spend time with them or something Fat Cunt

We might be getting more cases but that's only (I imagine) because life is a lot more 'normal' in general than it was last year when distancing, no crowds etc were still in play. This time we have vaccines to hopefully prevent a complete and utter collapse of the healthcare system/society but it'll probably be a close run thing.

I imagine it's also due to the transmission rates of omicron too.

Only 5000-odd up here with a low positivity rate, not necessarily a bad thing in the grand scheme of things. More people testing themselves and catching it early and isolating is what's going to stop this getting out of control.
