Find it odd that Pollock and Smith aren't playing more, think this B team nonsense has given them an easy out to not play them and then we've got the bad run of form and them being shitebags.

We've gone from a club who was given ample opportunity to young guys like hickey, Cochrane,
Macdonald, Irving etc to just pieing the youth set up completely.

Connor smith looks like he has a bit about him but has hardly any minutes before being chucked on against fiorentina. Pollock looked to be quite promising then never heard of again.

No idea how much it costs us to run an academy. But see no value in it at all. There'll always be a really decent player or two but more and more English clubs like Villa are just hoovering them up before they get anywhere near our first team bench.

This means we're left with players the English clubs don't want. Or the Glasgow two. And the standard we're left with just aren't making the breakthrough.

Case in point. Our team openly needs an AMF and yet Smith and Pollock get next to no chances. Or centre forward. Euan Henderson is 22. We've seem nothing in the years since he broke through and Henderson himself isn't going to cement a first team spot.

Think we'd be better shutting it down and using the funds to just buy youngsters from other academies. Like Neilson from Utd. Having an academy starting to feel like vanity.

Young players don't get anywhere near enough of an opportunity under Neilson so I'd be looking at that before shutting down an academy we've invested a lot into.

The boy we sold to villa is doing very well apparently. Frustrating but that's the game now.

We don't sell many players for cash so that's our only
Player income.

It's bad enough they don't get a chance but when you look at some of the absolute shite that's been signed over the whole budge era after a good window in our first championship season.

Connor Smith is a perfect example, he came in for some post split games 3 seasons ago, done well and was sent out on loan for consecutive seasons.

He's definitely got something yet we spunk cash on Kio and Grant this season who both have flattered to deceive, we even played 34 year old right back Michael Smith in there. If these laddies aren't getting fleeting cameos or playing in the Mickey Mouse cup what's the point.

Still think we could've saved Harry Cochranes career as well.

Celtic youth player Hickey is the only one to make us any cash.
