Without going all Statto, I think it's worth acknowledging that despite the fact we've only played 11 matches this season, we've already played the Old Firm 3 times, have had visits to Pittodrie, Easter Road as well as Fir Park.

So if we can win our two games in hand and go 3rd the fixture list opens up nicely for us post World Cup. After today we'll also have played 5 at home and 7 away.

I'm not panicking about our league position at this stage, but it would be nice to get 3 points today and then another 3 next Sunday.

Don't want to be too harsh on smith, it's no his fault he is having to be relied on so much. I would've imagined when he extended his contract the idea he'd be in and out the squad with Akka being the main man but it's not quite worked out like that.

He's a bit like Haring when it's good to have an experienced player to chuck in when you need him but you don't want to have to rely on him every week. Personally don't think he really has anything to prove to hearts at this stage if I'm honest, he's been class for us seasons past it's just an aging player getting to the end of his career.
