Jamestown
It's incredible that in my 39yrs on this earth we've had so few good right backs. I'm post Berry - McLaren/McPherson were shoehorned centre halves for the most part. Same with Davie Weir. Neilson was Neilson. Was Maybury shunted to right back, with Mahe on the left? Anyone else even a competent right back? Hopefully this guy does better than Tiago Costa

Looks a similar sort of player to Penrice

The start of what I hope is a summer influx of signings.
We need as many duds punted as possible to make room for a Jamestown assembled squad.

Stevie Frail before his knee fell off is probably the best right back I’ve seen at Hearts

But quite galling that he was just a reliable right back and is pretty much head and shoulders above every other right back we've had. Gerry Taylor and his masterclass of a 60mins against Rangers (:sibbickyay notwithstanding

That'll be confirmation that Gerry is on the first flight back to Costa Rica.

Good to sign a captain of a team as well. We desperately need leaders.

Callum Paterson turned out to be a midfield workhorse down south but had his best days at right back for us.

The scandi market seems to be the one of choice for Jamestown so far with Kartum, Steinwender and now this lad. Keep them coming.

They always release stuff like this when the manager is on a shoogly or the board are getting criticism.

Not much excitement for this boy
![]() At least he's only 25 though, not like Kartum no legs.

I read the farewell from his coach, really glowing about him as a player and person. No such thing as a sure thing, but he looks a safe bet compared with the project players we've tried out so heavily for years.

His team just strolled the second tier in Norway so that's good experience to bring in for next season

I was reading one of those VL in depth analysis threads about him and he’s meant to be a slug but has a very good cross.
I thought pace would’ve been one of the first traits we need but I think he’ll be good. A steady Eddie.
ITK Poster.
