Got it wrong from the start tonight.
Needs a big result against Hibs now.
No rep, no problem

I think the Beni-Leonard partnership was a mistake personally, played into their clogger midfield hands. Not that they're weak in challenges but they've not got any physicality in comparison and the ball just flew over their heads the whole game.

Can’t wait for a Spittal - Steinwender right hand side next week

Season rests on next week. I don’t mind big steiny but he got ripped up for arsepaper at Easter rd. Altena into right back and a winger on front of him please. Take the game to the cunts.

It’s make or break next week for me.

You sat through that shite, and your answer is - more physicality?! Play some footballers, ping the ball around them. Let them worry about how they’ll stop us.

He brought Steinwender in because he was scared of losing height FFS ![]() If we actually did play some football then the partnership would have been fine but we clearly had no intention to.

Having attended and watched that tonight, we needed to play football, not just launch the ball and try and ultimately fail to win second balls. Trying to play that mob at their own game doesn’t work, we need to play through them, not launch it.

St Mirren did to us what we did to Celtic

Hindsight gets you thinking we should have matched them man for man in midfield.
And on first viewing Beni and Leonard isn’t the answer to any question

Is it hindsight though, he's had 2 cracks at these cunts and they've done nothing different. Agree about beni and leonard, not a good pairing. Or at least for however the fuck we planned to 'play' last night. Never thought i'd be pining for Cammy

Should never have taken Kizy off.
That said, it was a shite night all round and McInnes didn't really react to their cloggers even though he must have known that that was how they'd play. Lesson learned hopefully

It’s too late for lessons learned tho.
I ken this might sound like it’s total negativity but mcinnes has been a manager in this league for a long time, st Mirren haven’t really changed how they approach games much plus on top of that if there was a time for lessons it was in the league cup game early doors. We have all the data in the world as well which will tell us exactly how they’ve approached every game this season. I’m seething about last night like

To be fair the game completely changes on the sending off, it’s difficult to say if we’d have established control if it had stayed 11 v 11. I have my doubts though.
What is beyond doubt is we started horribly and were then massively up against it.

His obsession with height to the detriment of the team needs to stop. It makes no sense to spend good money on a smaller player in Altena if you don’t trust him to play against diddy teams. Just go out and buy giants if that’s your belief.

Yea I have to say the obsession with having height in the team is starting to really grate with me. I don't think Steinwender is a bad player, but he's not a full back, and shoe horning these boys in just so we have a bit of height in the team just seems silly.

What was stopping him from going three at the back and leaving the midfield intact?
Baffling decision.

Mcinnes saying he asked Wilson to stay and wanted him to get a loan move somewhere in Scotland for more minutes. Interesting one. Not surprised wilson didn't want a move to the Scottish Championship
