Even including the SC finals, I don't think there's been a bigger derby in my lifetime.

We'll be going to ER, guaranteed top of the league, knowing that we're 5 games from winning the league. In the last 60 years, only four league titles have went outside the Old Firm.

No team would love to burst our hopes more than them. They were singing at Pittodrie about us falling apart when Well went one up. So we know them and their fans will be on us from the first minute, and we were awful in our last visit there, and we're going there on a run of abysmal away results.

We've a bit of a break now, which suits us. McInnes mentioned after today that a lot of our players weren't quite match ready and are just returning from lay offs.

The team we put our has to be, yes, our best players and formation, but also, take into account fitness, form, and ability to fight and win our battles at a place like ER with huge pressure on us. I think that calls into question for me - Kyziridis. And whilst I wanted Altena to get game time, it's hard to now see such a huge call to start him if McInnes has doubts. Especially in our defence.

For me.

Schwollow

McEntee
Halkett
Findlay
Milne

Beningime
Devlin
Leonard

Kerjota
Shankland
Braga

Huge call to leave out Kyziridis. But he's just been a passenger too long and we can't afford any at ER. McInnes might think Kerjota is too small, but he's not shy on getting involved and with the boots flying, he's the sort that might win free kicks or a penalty. We are the league's most threatening team from set pieces and I see Kerjota getting in the mix more than either Kyziridis or Chesnokov. I can't even recall either of them putting a telling cross in for months.

I also think we have to have three combatative CMFs going there, no two in the middle and letting them win the midfield.

Such a huge game. Our last visit gives me the fear about this one. McInnes has to be on this and getting the players totally in the zone. No bad performances allowed, everyone has to turn up and show for this.

Think the 4-3-3 doesn't suit Braga at all. If we were dropping Kyzi anyway I'd be tempted to stick with the 4-4-2 and have Kerjota/Spittal on the flanks.

Aye it has to be Shankland and Braga as a front 2.
Tbh if we can drop Kyzi I’d play Milne in front of Kingsley on the left and Altena in front of McEntee on the left. Sounds a bit Levein but Hibs always get far too much joy out wide against us so should snuff that out and Milne/Altena is more of a threat than our actual wingers at the moment anyway.
Leaves you with plenty options off the bench too to see if Kyzi can be more useful against tired legs, Leonard for whenever Devlin gets booked, Kabore/Kerjota doubler if needed and hopefully the McCart for Braga to see out the win GodIsGod

Actually wouldn’t mind that, plenty balls into the box for Shanks and Braga to get onto

Seen a Hibs tik tok predicting 2 1 to them saying they've only lost two games at ER since Dec 2024.

Is that right? Can't be bothered checking but feels like they've had regular home defeats.

Not sure bout the four full backs idea. We're going there top of the league. I just feel we need more in CMF. Maybe you're right then. Already im coming round.

Then super sub on Kerjota and Kyziridis at 60 once we've settled.

We struggle there when we try to play 2 in the middle of the park against their 3.

I think we need to go 3-5-2. Steiny in for Danny Ocean

I would be very happy with that and I also think it would be something that they’re not expecting to see and as such it could work in our favour as a result.

Still can’t make up my mind if Hanley being suspended is a good or a bad thing to be honest.

Hoping they announce the points required for this ASAP, as I’ve got plans to make. jjay

Almost physically hurts me we need to wait another two weeks for this now, can't tell you how fucking sick I am of all these breaks. You just want to get this title fight done but always forced to wait around for the next one.

I was a big advocate of going 3-5-2 when we went there last time, Del got it wrong but I think he'd be more inclined to go down that road this time assuming Leonard is back that's a strong 3 in the middle of the park and you stil get your two best players up tap.

It's a no brainer for me.

Shree-5-2 with Altena and Milne as the wing backs. Piggy

Shree-5-2 with Kyzi and Steiny. Fat Cunt

Not sure the 3 of the Beni, Lenny and Devlin can work - all quite similar, need someone who can get closer to the front 2 which is why I can see Braga playing as one of the 3 and going Kabore and Shanks up top.

Schwollow

McEntee
Halkett
Findlay
Kingsley

Altena
Beningime
Devlin
Milne

Shankland
Braga

Hold the game. Nick a goal maybe. Wear them down. Get past any nerves.

Then introduce as needed. Any of....

Kerjota. Kyziridis. Chesnokov. Kabore. Leonard. Spittal.

Schwollow

Stein Halkett Findlay

Altena Beni Devlin Spittal Milne

Braga Shankland.

That would do me, I would worry a wee bit about Altena as I feel like I'm still not sure of what he's all about and if he'd stand up to this kind of game.

I’m not sure how Milne or Altena would do in wing back roles (theoretically they are both suited to the role though).

Not against Del throwing in a dark horse 352 tactic for 45 mins to see how it works.

I wouldn't worry about Milne apart from the fact it would be his first game in about a month or so? Pretty big one to get thrown back in.

Feel like matching them up to start with might be the play, can't afford to get caught cold early doors again.
