Obv will watch the Scotland games but just having a look over the fixtures and properly just sunk in how much of the WC I’ll miss because of shite kick off times

Knew the times were bad but thought could still catch most of it but there’s no chance. Hopefully post groups the match times get a bit better. There’s round of 32 ties at 4am and quarter finals at 2am.

Just having a look at the group stage fixtures and there’s really no many jumping out at me that look like exciting ties. I’m buzzing for oor games now tbf and Brazil Morocco should be good anaw.

I've just made peace with the fact I'll be watching the majority of games as highlights in the morning. Hopefully the beeb provides good 10-12min packages of each game to allow for the fact they're at an ungodly hour.

If Wimbledon or the snooker is only good if you make an effort to follow it then I'm worried this world cup will pass me by.

I suspect a lot of pitches will be problematic. With them using NFL pitches almost all of them are astro and they'll have had to relay them as grass and knowing that lot they'll have made a prize cunt of it. Wouldn't be surprised if there was numerous bad knee injuries across the tournament.

They are changing all the stadiums to grass. The NFL players Union were going tits about it, they asked for grass for all stadiums for ages and were have repeatedly been told no, and FIFA insisted on it as one of the conditions of hosting. They are putting grass in for the world Cup then going back to astro afterwards I think it's cause they view the stadiums as "venues" for all sort of stuff rather just 8 NFL games a season. Concerts, Monster truck shows and rodeos and whatever else. Edited as misread initially apologies
