Sample size of 7000 over the last 7 days. And a 'complex model'. Which only the entire political world is now desperate to find out...

YouGov forecast the tories to fall 16 seats short. I'm not short how the norn irish that don't take their seats factor in though. Would the dup have enough to shore up the tories?

Anyway, the coalition of chaos appears, for the first time, to look possible.

It's a bowdlerized version of Nye Bevan on unilateral nuclear disarmament. Older voters might recognise it.

It's so bad and forced. She's not a cracker of funnies. Not her style, she's far too wooden and boring.

It's like a sad, square, middle aged man trying to look cool in a pub. Tragic.

But the "doesn't bear thinking about" line, had it been reversed, and Corbyn said it?

She's a horrible, horrible person.

Corbyn is a decent man (ignore Shaun calling him Hamas loving, IRA terrorist), so why would you attack him personally? It just makes you look like a bully. If she actually showed respect to Corbyn she would nullify his underdog persona that is gaining him votes by the day.

Absolute clueless campaign from start to finish. More chaos for Britain as a result of this election. Maybe we'll need to call another general election after this one?

They've clearly practiced the joke and she's been briefed to let the laughter go on for as long as possible. Unfortunately for her the laughter never came. Next time prep your audience.

The Corbyn is incompetent and dangerous thing doesn't really work now because a) you have proven yourself to be even worse b) he's actually very good at campaigning and has painted himself in a positive light and shown himself to be a very decent guy.

She is clinging on to this Brexit negotiation thing for dear life.

Actually can't believe how bad the tories have been in this campaign. It was so easy for them as well. Ultimately, the media and little Englanders will save her skin but what an embarrassment to Britain she is. The next few years will be absolutely brutal.

Oh agreed, but that's just part of the everyday sexism men are forced to endure.

No. Shaun's just too plain insecure. Warning: most self-absorbed post in the history of anything coming right up - so please scroll on. Please. Last chance! Eek

Head v heart. Head v heart. Everyone has that inner dialogue at some stage, don't they? That's my inner political dialogue and always has been. I want the most left of centre government it's possible to achieve in Britain - but which can also win, and really change things.

And yes, that does leave me coming across as condescending, cynical, you name it. I regret that. It's the age-old refusing to engage with my emotions thing as much as anything: I want Corbyn to win, then I look at the reality of his policies, then I think what's the point the UK's completely goosed anyway, then I think of all the wretched injustice absolutely everywhere and how angry the Tories regularly make me and I think: what's the point of politics if leaders don't stand up for what they believe in and fuck anyone who disagrees?

Round and round and round I go. Never anything other than left of centre; but always sceptical, above all in small 'c', curtain-twitching Britain with its outrageously skewed electoral system. That's why I appreciated what Blair achieved and rarely focus on the (many) negatives - because in the UK since 1970, it's as good as it's got. Corbyn's challenge is to somehow persuade enough of the public that something truly bold, truly radical, truly transformative can happen - but can it? Really? I just don't know.

I know I want the Tories out. I know I think Brexit's a fucking disaster. I'm not sure if I want John McDonnell and Diane bloody Abbott, mind. But observing the TV audience last night, what I noticed was how many people were shaking their heads almost in spite of themselves at some of the things Corbyn was saying about tax and spending. Maybe because they've been brainwashed for decades; maybe because they don't have much to spare themselves, and elections are anything but a charity; maybe because they know his sums don't add up; maybe, just maybe, because like me, they just can't imagine it.

I do care though. Really I do. The battle between what's realistic and what might, just conceivably, be possible given a fair wind and a brilliant enough campaign and argument is what faces so many politicians. I think most get far too hard a time for veering towards caution - but yes, Corbyn has had way too hard a time for doing something totally different. Of course I accept that.
