Atleast they've called out the issues affecting the country rather than citing internecine labour bun fighting.

Would support Heidi Allen and Soubry over any of the car salesmen that jacked the Labour Party the other day.

Broadly agree with the point he's making but referring to Goebels on the topic of a Jewish woman leaving her job because of alleged anti semitism ![]() Do yourself a favour m8

He gets called back to clarify his view and he stays in the cycle. He's every bit as cynical and exploitative as the controller in the news room telling the anchor to jump all over the nazi reference.

You agree that it is all Black Opps?
Corbyn admitted there was a 'real problem' with antisemitism in his party https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/po...76711.html Might join these new independents tbh. Sensible centrism is just what the UK needs right now. Enough of these extremists on either side.

I don't think there are any secret conspiracies if that's what he's getting at but i think it's clear people are manipulating the anti semitic issue for their own gain. Just think it's outrageous to drop a nazi reference in to that sort of debate, and it's the type of thing that's jumped on and takes away from the real issues. I suppose i'm doing that right now mind

Galloway is toxic as fuck, a genuine antisemite, and any association with him will only be harmful to Corbyn.

Good press conference from Soubry/Wollaston/Allen - all three of them are much more convincing and engaging than the 8 other members of TIG imo. Could be a real watershed moment as far as Tory involvement goes. I wonder whether some Lib Dem's might see TIG as a better bet long-term if they want a sniff at real influence again. :picardyay:

Genuinely pleased to see these Labour and Tory splitters uniting under a mild social progressive/centre right economic agenda. They now have a place they can call home. There is too much infighting in both parties, everyone has a chance to breathe now.

Would be quite interesting to plot all the parties on the political spectrums including the Scottish branches of the UK parties.
I would suggest all the Scottish parties would pretty much be grouped in the centre where the British parties have moved to extremes. Scotland showing itself to be a (small c) conservative country, especially with the referendum results.

The issue that unites Scotland is a demand for social and economic reform to re-address the scorched earth of Tory de-industrialisation in our poorer areas.
The Independent Group will have to move their economic policy from centre right to centre left in order to secure a lot of votes in Scotland. However, their main tenet seems to be to the continued financialisation of the economy in spite of this being the cause of the economic crash. It's all about how these things are packaged. This option is already available to people in Scotland - it's called the Liberal Democrats. Of which no one votes for.
