Corbyn has been breaking their so called rules left, right and centre. It is tragic stuff.

This is all from years ago when he was a back bencher though is it not?

If there's history of Corbyn voting for another party then it's comparable but I don't think sharing a forum with other parties/individuals is the same thing.

He's raising money for another party - against the rules. He celebrated Galloways win over a labour member - against the rules.

The whole thing is absolutely ridiculous of course but that's what you get with Corbyn as leader.

I'm not his biggest fan but think you're clutching at straws a bit here to have a go at him Laugh

When Campbell said he voted for Lib Dem's it puts them in a fairly shite position as in this climate they'll get hounded for it by the media as a further sign of them being weak or whatever.  I just don't think you can really compare what corbyn has done in the past whether it's right or wrong to Campbell Jezza

Campbell knew what he was doing and probably expected to be removed from the party because of it. You could argue Corbyn was trying to encourage people to vote labour at the rally, he probably was.

The point in raising these 'pettier' examples is that the standard response to Campbells exclusion by Corbyn's minions has been 'oh well, rules are rules'. It puts them in a silly position when their leader has shown clear examples of breaking the rules in the past.

You could raise the more serious examples that Mak has detailed but I don't Campbell's 'crime' is worthy of that. You just keep their inability to deal with that for the ballot box when the GE comes. He's voted the way he has consistently campaigned for in what is a unique time and Labour have now adopted that position to save their skin. He has specifically said he will vote Labour in a GE. Suspend him, aye. But come on man, the thing is a joke.

I don't think he should've been expelled from the party at all, I think you should be able to vote for who you want regardless of whether you're a member.

I definitely see where you're coming from but for me I just think it's a bit of a unique situation because of timing and what's going on with Brexit etc. I don't think anyone has particularly handed themselves well.

I was reading that this is Campbell just trying to shift the attention a bit as he's going to be involved quite heavily in this anti semitism investigation.

Still don't think this is the case. There's a difference between taking part in a fundraiser/congratulating someone on success and actively admitting to personally voting for another party.

Don't want to go too deep on this debate as like I said, there are other examples you can point to anyway, but I just think these zingers are missing the point.

Think part of why it bothers me is that I've been frustrated for a while with how much of the discussion around Corbyn (both from his supporters and critics) is framed in terms of whether he's a good or bad guy. Politics should be about ideas rather than people, and although Corbyn is a flawed messenger (deeply flawed in some ways) I do think he has some good ideas. The issue with making it all about Corbyn is that it means that if he ends up discredited, so do the ideas.

I think that was in 98 tbf.

On another note, I see Corbyn is being deliberately vague on whether or not there would be a remain option on a public vote. Special

Smoked opium in iran but is part of a party who refuses point blank to even talk about drug reform policy. This is the same sort of image BoJo had with the public before he turned heel.

Some fucking boy like!!!

He's interesting, but a thorough examination of his hard drive has to be a priority.

It's a shame he's a Tory cunt because he's a very likeable chap May Bee

Can't see him appealing to your standard Tory voter though.

Dunno if i'd go as far as likeable. He has a better way of speaking to the public than the rest of them.
